“Texas country with a twist!” Lee Country Line, a high energy Texas country band, has just released a new EP featuring a wide range of songs unlike any album of its kind. The album’s original songs were all written by the four ambitious teens that make up Lee County Line: Tanner McPhaul, Josh Murdoch, Lucas Seiferman and Taylor Yates. With enough original material to record multiple albums, this band is simply waiting for their time to shine. All of the originals, along with countless fan favorites, are performed regularly by Lee County Line. McPhaul is the founding frontman of LCL, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. Live acoustic shows are his “bread and butter” during the week, and he’s also pursuing a college major in vocal performance. “I’m passionate about music,” McPhaul says. “I really enjoy connecting with Lee County Line fans in a rare, personal way.” Murdoch is the band’s original drummer. Also pursuing a music degree, Josh doubles as the band’s primary lyricist. “He has proven himself to be a very talented songwriter in [the band’s] latest release,” says McPhaul. Lucas Seiferman (lead guitar) is Lee County Line’s newest member. His deep understanding of music theory has brought about an entirely new dimension to the band’s sound. His animated performances, and outgoing stage personality, wow entertainment lovers of all kinds. Taylor Yates joined the band at bass in early 2009. His previous experience in the Dallas music scene adds even more depth (literally) to the band’s sound. Yates is focusing on music in college as well. “Music is our life!” Yates says. “We all live together so that we can be in constant collaboration. What little free time we have is spent out dancing or attending other live performances,” Yates adds. “What an unexpected treat! My wife and I visited Coupland [Dance Hall] for the first time and got to listen to this outstanding and talented group. I am flabbergasted to learn they are still teens, because their musicianship and abilities were very mature and polished!” – Keith (Georgetown, TX)
