Tim, the youngest of nine children, was born in Vancouver, WA and was raised in the country in Chelatchie Prairie, WA. He learned to play guitar from brothers Marvin, Butch, and friend Ed Brown. Music was a large part of weekend family activities. Tim’s sister, Kathy, a great singer herself, was a big influence and gave him the opportunity to extend his talents to others. After graduating from Battle Ground High School in 1990, in Clark County, WA, Tim attended Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, OR where he majored in Business Management and played football. It was in La Grande where he started playing publicly in a place called Klondike’s Pizza. This small beginning inspired him to shift direction in his life and move to Nashville, TN to chase a dream, which has led him to many great moments.
A friend of his, Dave Sutton, took him around “Music City” and introduced him to Ray Walker, bass singer of the famous quartet, The Jordanaires. Unknowingly at the time, this was his break into the music business. Ray opened doors for Tim that would begin his career and make his dreams a reality. Tim’s played the world famous, “Grand Ole Opry”, appeared on Crook and Chase on the Nashville Network and opened for several artists including Jack Greene and Emmy Lou Harris to name a few. He has shared the stage with Noel Haggard, son of Merle Haggard, Daryl Singletary and many more artists as well. Tim is currently living his dream of writing songs and singing around the country. His latest project, “Homemade Love”, continues with his contemporary traditional sound.
