The Barnhearts are an uptempo, original and classic country band based out of Lubbock Texas. Formed in 2023, by Jim Clack and Cole Stanley both of which are singer songwriters and guitar players. They added Colt Compton on keys and saxophone in early 2024 and Cory Powell on drums at the same time being friends from the Jazz sessions around Lubbock. They rounded out the band with Texas Tech PHD of music Devin Guerrero on bass. Jim Clack formerly a solo acoustic act, fronts the group and writes most of the original songs. Cole Stanley also writes and fronts the group when he’s not shredding on the lead guitar. Cole is also the lead guitarist for Mason and The Gin Line. The Barnhearts together have exploded onto the Texas music scene with two singles released already and another one dropping on October 10th. They are regular performers at the blue light live, and all over Lubbock and the West Texas / Eastern New Mexico area. Influences taken from Texas country artists such as The Old 97’s ,Pat Green and Wade Bowen, as well as classic country artists such as Ray Price, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. The Barnhearts aim to make everyone dance and drink and just all around have a great night that leaves you with a tune stuck in your head.
