Recording Artist Leslie Lugo is a bilingual International award winning performer and accomplished Grammy recognized singer/songwriter with a new highly anticipated CD “Éxitos Del Ayer” just released this year on her own Independent Record label LuGold Records. The 19 song CD produced by 14 time Grammy award winner Gilbert Velasquez is a tribute album honoring the great World renowned Latin composers of the past and features beautiful timeless classics in Spanish and English. Also included are two originals written by Leslie Lugo; “Cuando Fue Tu Querer” and bonus track “Te Lo Pido” a salsa collaboration with two time Grammy winner, Marlow Rosado.

Leslie Lugo has been a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS/The Grammys) since 1998 and the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (LARAS/The Latin Grammys) since its inception. An accredited BMI songwriter and owner of her own publishing company LuGOLD Music, Leslie has written songs for many other artists. In 1999, Leslie was honored with an Accolade from The Grammys for her songwriter contribution on the Grammy Award winning Best Tejano Performance CD “Said and Done” by Tejano Legend Flaco Jimenez. She also co-wrote a song for Flaco Jimenez for the Woody Allen movie, “Picking Up The Pieces.”
Leslie’s original song and vocal performance of “El Nirichin”, off her debut CD, was featured in the 2015 The Traveling Picture Show Company Movie “Divine Access”. Her dynamic voice was also featured on the music soundtrack of the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp movie “Machete” and also on the 2015 “From Dusk Till Dawn” TV series soundtrack directed by Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez.
