Joel James, Actor, Comedian, Writer, Philanthropist and Entrepreneur started his career at the age of 16 by joining an acting troupe at the infamous Geva Theater in Rochester NY, his home town. While in the troupe Joel stared in over 14 plays including The Color Purple  as ‘Harpo’ and ‘Walter’ in A Raisin in the Sun. During Joel’s last season with Geva Theater he began writing comedy vignette’s which lead to a steady and successful career in stand up comedy and commercial writing.

In 2015 Joel added another title to his resume as he wrote, directed and stared his first short film, Get to know me and second film, Single Until Proven Guilty, released in 2016. Following his passion for comedy,writing and production he soon became a Screen Actors Guild Signatory Producer.

In June of  2019 Joel will have his first national television debut alongside Kevin Hart in Comedy Central’s Hart Of the City.

Aside of entertainment Joel’s main goal is work as a philanthropist with a focus on career awareness and guidance in youth by doing seminars and vision board party’s.
