Brandon Bush Band
Brandon Bush appropriately discovered the Alt/Roots and Texas Country Music scene sitting on a tailgate at a pasture party. That night he heard Pat Green and Reckless Kelly for the first time, and the next day, made his three-piece punk cover band learn the tunes. After moving to Denton to pursue a Bachelor's degree, Bush started taking songwriting more seriously and began playing at a bar on Fry Street called "The Garage". Three years later, with degree in hand, Bush has gathered a generous following stretching from back home in Ector, Texas all the way to Fort Worth. With a little luck and dedication, he formed the Brandon Bush Band in the summer of 2007. Its members are Micheal Burgess on bass and harmonica, Brad Haefner on lead guitar and other stringed instruments, and Shea Henley on drums. The band has been nominated twice as a contestant on 95.3 The Range's Shiner Rising Star competition, and has a single out called "Mad Dog Mean".
