Born and raised in the middle of Nebraska, Heather Wellman is a country music artist, but some of her favorite voices reside in rock...and you will always hear her loving on anything 90's, and even touches of pop! A fan of music, she's built up a setlist reflecting all of these genres and more, sprinkled with her original songs as well; so there is sure to be something for every ear.
Heather has been passionate about music and has loved to sing for as long as she can remember...but was a complete closet-singer until learning enough guitar to work up the courage to post her first cover video to social media at the end of 2013. The outpour of positive responses and encouragement she received helped her build up enough nerve to continue learning and sharing her passion.
In 2015 she stepped on stage to sing live for the first time. It was a couple of songs, at a friend's show, but she couldn't get enough. Fast forward seven months, a once in a lifetime opportunity would give her her biggest platform to date. Country superstar, Keith Urban, selected her to duet Miranda Lambert's part in "We Were Us" with him, on stage, at the 2015 Nebraska State Fair. It was only her second live performance, but was in front of 13,000 people and absolutely cemented her love for being on stage to perform music. She will forever be grateful to Keith, Y102 Radio, and the entire state of Nebraska for their overwhelming support and love at such a dream come true!
Since then, Heather has dueted the beautiful, "If I Go, I'm Goin'" on stage with red dirt artist, Bart Crow, and has had the honor to open for acts such as the legendary BlackHawk. She is loving every new opportunity to play shows, meet new people, and experience the awesome venues she has been fortunate enough to play music at. She released her first original single "Good At Being Young", in 2021, followed by her second single, "You Were My 17", in 2023. Both are available for download/streaming on all platforms. Heather is thrilled to have released music out into the world that she can call her own!
