Maddox Batson is a father/son duo featuring teen sensation and front man Maddox Batson on lead vocals, piano, guitar and mandolin with a wide ranging musical offering from old time Appalachian music, Bluegrass, Gospel, Country, Blues, Southern Rock, modern day crossover, as well as original songs.
Hailing from Birmingham, Al, the MBB seamlessly transition from genres and generations with their “sibling like” harmonies, mixed with dynamic solo vocal performances by the multi-talented leader, Maddox.
Highly entertaining, funny and a wholesome approach to music, they are sure to not disappoint.
Maddox Batson is a renaissance kid. He is multifaceted to say the least, and this comes out in his live performances. Represented by a Los Angeles Talent Manager (for acting) he can be seen on regional as well as national commercials, and starring on his basketball and baseball teams back home in Alabama –he is just a kid who loves to entertain. This comes through to the audience in blinding fashion when he smiles and lets go on an old country favorite, a MBB original, or a modern hit. Talented and charismatic, he is also a very good musician- known to grab a piano, a mandolin or a guitar depending on his preference at the time.
Truly a site to see. “Its Magic.”
Dan Batson (Maddox’s Dad) has been playing and performing for audiences since he was 8 years old back home in Middle Tennessee. Steeped in bluegrass at young age, Dan is a singer/songwriter with many years of music experience behind him—and is loving having the opportunity to pass that on to his son.
He had the privilege of playing along side the father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe, on 3 separate occasions as a young man, and that set a course for the love of entertaining that is still going strong.
He writes and sings backup for Maddox.
