Comanche Moon
THE BAND

"Comanche Moon" is a term used by the pioneers of the Texas frontier to describe a full moon during the summer, when bands of Comanche Indians often raided pioneer settlements. Hailing from Amarillo, TX in the heart of Old Comancheria, Comanche Moon blends influences from country, rock, folk and blues with the lore and mystique of its native setting to create a unique, progressive Americana sound.

? Formed in Amarillo, Texas, Comanche Moon brings the free, untamed flavor of the West Texas prairie lands to its songwriting. The band focuses on originality and craft, and was featured as the Searchlight: Indie Songwriting Competition Winner on PRX in June 2015. You can find the interview as well as the song below.
