About this event

WADE FORSTER

Wade Forster doesn’t just sing country music – he’s lived it. Born and raised on a remote cattle station in outback Queensland, he’s spent years on the rodeo circuit chasing buckles, riding hard, and living stories most country singers only write about.

Music was always part of that life, but it wasn’t until 2017 that Wade grabbed a $50 Marketplace guitar and taught himself to play. A rough online cover of Tyler Childers’ “Oneida” in 2021 changed everything, leading him to record his debut album The Beginning – raw songs about depression, loss, love and the realities of rural life. No polish. Just truth.

He built his audience the same way he built his life: through grit. Eight-hour drives to $60 gigs. Rodeo slots. No shortcuts. In January 2024, Wade became the 44th winner of Toyota Star Maker, cementing him as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices.

But the wildest part of his rise wasn’t happening at home – it was 15,000 kilometres away. Without a label or U.S. backing, his music caught fire in Texas. A free pop-up show at the Fort Worth Stockyards in July 2024 drew 300 die-hard fans singing every word.

Momentum exploded. In early 2025, he co-headlined a U.S. run with The Lowdown Drifters, including sold-out Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa and the historic Gruene Hall in Texas. In September 2025, his debut U.S. headline tour – The Dying Breed Tour – sold out 15 shows across the country, proving the “Aussie Cowboy” wasn’t just breaking into America – he was charging through the front door.

His follow-up album Gooseneck Party captures Wade at full stride: unfiltered, honest and built on real life lived in the saddle. Back home, his Australian headline tour also sold out nationwide, alongside major festival moments at Deni Ute Muster, Gympie Muster and Strumming Bird Festival.

Now with over 60 million global streams, Wade continues to rise in both hemispheres – joining Treaty Oak Revival for a run of U.S. shows and stepping onto the iconic Ryman Auditorium stage in February 2026 supporting Shane Smith & The Saints.

Through it all, he remains the same rodeo cowboy – telling real stories, sung by someone who’s lived every line.

Wade Forester

Wade Forster doesn’t just sing country music—he’s lived it. Born, raised, and still working on a cattle station deep in the Queensland outback, his life has been built on dust, hard work, and long days in the saddle. A professional rodeo cowboy, he’s spent years on the circuit, chasing buckles, riding hard, and living the kind of stories most country singers only write about. Music was always there—blaring through truck speakers, rattling off tin roofs, or belted out the back of a Gooseneck. But it wasn’t until 2017, when he moved to Mount Isa for a refrigeration job, that he decided
