Barrel Park
In 1982 Fred Grundmeyer opened the then-called “Grundy’s” as a Top 40’s dance club. Grudy’s was a vibrant community hub which allowed people to have fun and connect with one another. It held performances for famous Western Country musicians such as Mickey Gilley and Garth Brooks. As the years went on, the venue name changed from Johny B Daltons, to Tumbleweeds Music Venue, and now Barrel Park.
Barrel Park continues to be the same community hub for North Houston and surrounding areas. We offer space for indoor and outdoor events, fundraisers, music & art gatherings, festivals, special celebrations, and more. Barrel Park is here to serve the community and the people—just how it’s always been.
