THOMAS HINDS
Thomas Hinds, a troubadour from northern Georgia, has spent most of the last four years playing an impressive mix of original songs that share the struggles of life, love, and finding oneself within these melodies all over the southeastern part of the U.S. The covers he chooses fit nicely with his voice and onstage demeanor, always tinged with a silvery hue and inspiring to never give up, no matter how the world around us appears. Thomas is currently releasing singles for his upcoming album set to release on June 30th of this year.

Thomas spent most of 2019 on the road criss-crossing the U.S. with his catalog of originals and ever-increasing covers, which has welcomed him back to venues time and again. His first release, Ghosts and Lamentations, was in 2015, and in late 2017, he released an EP titled Barbwire Bouquet, which included two songs recorded with Jono. The EP featured Keep On and a reworked version of Favorite Hello, originally on Ghosts and Lamentations, which, according to Jeffrey Foucault, “showed a lot of growth in the songwriting.”

With Resurrection Road, Thomas takes a step towards solidifying his writing ability, with a touch of Ray Lamontagne and Steve Earl in the fabric of the songs stretching out in this collection. After relocating from New Mexico to his current home in northern Georgia, Thomas has found fertile ground for growing and solidifying his voice among some amazing talented musicians and songwriters. He started 2021 playing regionally throughout the southeastern U.S. and finished the year strong with almost 150 shows and nearly 60,000 miles driven.

In 2022, Thomas continued to build momentum with the release of the new EP Heart Attacks & Sweet Dreams at the end of September, and a new book Ghost of a River released in October. The year shaped up to be one of the most productive yet, with Thomas recording a full-length album titled Where Do We Go From Here at the Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In 2023, he’s been filling up with shows as he builds momentum for an album release show with a full band at Shoals Theater in Florence, AL on June 30th. Thomas is always looking for new places to play and people to meet. He has the ability to play solo sets as well as duo, trio, or full bands depending on the need. The best way to contact him is via his website or email at thomashindsschedule@gmail.com.

If he’s in your area, be sure to catch a show and let your family and friends know to make a point of seeing him and saying hello. If you’re interested in hosting a house concert or have a venue looking for an original artist to play along his route, feel free to contact him.
