About

Josh Meloy is an independent country music artist from Hennessey, Oklahoma, known for his raw "Red Dirt" sound and gravelly vocals. Despite coming from a musical family, Meloy initially focused on athletics and was an honorable mention all-state basketball player in high school. He did not pick up a guitar until age 19 while attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Inspired by a William Clark Green concert, he began writing and recording music while living in a camper. Meloy built his career through grassroots efforts, performing in local dive bars before moving to national stages like the Ryman Auditorium.
