RANSOM RHODES
Ransom Rhodes was born in 1984 in Fort Worth Texas. Growing up rodeoing with his two older brothers, there was nothing else coming out of the speakers than good ole country music. Inspired by Restless Heart, Shenandoah and Steve Wariner his love for music grew stronger every day. He was 13 years old when his parents picked him up from school and took him to the music store to get his first acoustic guitar. By the time he was a sophomore, Ransom put together a band with three of his close friends. At the end of that year he had joined an FFA competition with his band and ended up getting to play in front of 7,000 people opening for Pat Green in Houston. Once he hit the stage he knew this was it, music had opened up his soul to a whole new perspective. At the age of 22, the opportunity came for him and his band to take a trip across country to LA and record at A & M Studios and release his first album. Unfortunately with the drummer having to leave the band for personal reasons Ransom was back at ground zero.

Over the next few years Ransoms' love for music grew with every breathe he took. At the age of 24 he received a blessing that would forever change his life; he was going to be a Daddy. The following summer his Angel arrived weighing 8 lbs. and 9 oz. and her name was Brooklyn Rain Rhodes. The first time he looked in her eyes he knew he had to make this work, he would not let her down. At 26 Ransom joined 95.9 The Ranch's Pickin Party and took it all the way to the finals after opening for Charlie Robison and Johnny Cooper . Again another test would pull him astray. Two weeks before the final show of the competition Hurricane Irene hit the north east coast. He had received a call from his work needing him to deploy immediately to assist. At 28 he decided to finish what he started and joined Ranch Factor for 95.9 The Ranch. He played his heart out and gained friends and fans along the way finishing 2nd. After opening for Kevin Fowler for his Beer Bait and Rattlesnakes show in the summer of 2012 he knew he was getting closer to his dream.
